This is an Energy Safety Canada safety training course.
Description: This H2S Alive course shows workers how to work safely in and around hydrogen sulfide (H2S) environments. This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to help them identify and detect H2S, mitigate the hazards of working in an H2S environment, and respond to an incident involving an H2S release. It includes both theory and practical application exercises.
H2S Alive is a must for oilfield training.
Completion: 70% passing grade closed book examination. Mandatory practical participation to put on a mask and breathe under air and be able to participate in rescue drag techniques.
Certification: 3-year certification
Private safety training available. Our instructors travel anywhere in AB and BC. We are located in Hinton, near Edson, Jasper and Yellowhead County
Skills Assessment: ~60 Minutes.
Description: The online theory exam of H2S Alive® Blended Renewal must be completed through Energy Safety Canada prior to registering for your Skills Assessment.
Eligibility: Current (not expired) H2S Alive certificate.
You have 90 days from registration to complete the online portion.
Registration does not extend the current certificate.
Students have 90 days to complete the skills assessment after completing the online portion.
